Our very own Dr. Shivani Samlall had the incredible opportunity to engage with global leaders in women’s health and oncology — fostering collaboration and sharing insights to advance equitable care around the world.
A special highlight of the conference was Dr. Samlall’s reunion with her former mentor, Dr. John Varallo, Women’s Health Lead at the Global Surgery Foundation. Dr. Varallo is a distinguished leader in global health, recognized for his unwavering commitment to strengthening surgical systems and improving women’s health in low- and middle-income countries.
Their meeting was both meaningful and inspiring, reaffirming a shared vision to expand access to quality cancer care and women’s health services in Guyana and beyond.
